Of July 20 to October 20 2008, the New York studio Contemporary Architecture Practice (CAPE) s’expose to the Museum of Modern Art of New York. With l’installation "Migrating Formations", CAPE sketches the outlines of the wall of the future.
This structure modulaire of 2.92 m of height and 2.31 m of length for 24 cm d’épaisseur was conceived and produced thanks to the last computer techniques and robotics. Of this process high-tech results an aesthetic sensual one and typical futuristic style "blob" that allows CAPE D’intégrer l’ensemble functions of the wall in a unique form. While offering a finished surface, their project allows in fact to texturize l’espace while assuring structural functions. His hollow and embroidered conception has equally as advantage of to drive the light all in opacifiant l’espace…
