Wall of leaving concrete to pass lights, colors and shadows, Stupid/Fiber is an installation created by l’architecte Kengo Kuma to l’occasion Tokyo Fiber Senseware 09. L’alliance concrete and transparency.
Developed in collaboration with the Austrian manufacturer Luccon and recently presented to Milan, this installation is composed from small pads of high concrete resistance integrating a maillage of fibers views.
To the first blow d’oeil these pads present an aspect of completely classical concrete.
On the other hand, once exposed to a luminous, natural or artificial source, they will be crossed light to form an animated screen, a surface on which the games d’ombres and of lights, the colors and the forms appear in transparency.
Thanks to their profile in angle, these pads compose a three-dimensional partition, the thus created noticeably increasing relief l’apport of potential light.
