16.02.20  Grégory Guillemain: Salon Léa Loghan

Behind this facade of a bourgeois building in Reims (51) hides a hairdresser like no other. Designed by local architect Grégory Guillemain, the Léa Loghan lounge stands out for its refined treatment, combining the charm of the old with elegant contemporary details.

16.02.20  Onze04: Ophthalmology practice on the Île de Nantes

The Barcelona architecture agency Onze04 transforms a commercial space into a minimal space dedicated to hosting an ophthalmology practice. In other words, the project constitutes an architectural feat that gives pride of place to the medical sector.

16.02.20  Workshop 56S: Mixed equipment in Bréal-sous-Vitré

Atelier 56S rehabilitates the multipurpose room of Bréal-sous-Vitré (35) into a contemporary social and cultural center. Combining the historic building with new equipment, the project is a heterogeneous architectural island intended to accommodate a multipurpose room, a media library and an ALSH leisure center.

16.02.20  Overcode: Pulp

It is for the town of Villejuif (92) that the duo formed by the architects Claire Garcia Barriet and Alejandro Garcia Marta, at the head of Overcode, completely reinvented the public library. Called PULP for Small Public Reading Units, the project includes two similar prefabricated and mobile units, each housing a local library. Back on the history of this innovative public equipment.

16.02.20  VIGUIER architecture, town planning and landscape: Identity One

As part of the major EuroRennes urban planning project launched in 2008, the architecture agency Jean-Paul Viguier et Associés signs Identity One, an HQE building, which opens the ball of a set of three buildings called Identity. Delivered in April 2019, the building has welcomed its first occupants and foreshadows the advent of the future business district of Rennes Métropole (35). 16.02.20  Hessamfar and Verons: School group in Saint-Cyr

In the heart of Parc de Montjoie in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire (37), the Bordeaux agency Marjan Hessamfar & Joe Verons architects are setting up a new school group, completing the Coeur de Ville II town planning operation. Airy and warm, the whole dialogues with its wooded environment and promises young students to learn in an exceptional setting.

15.02.20  Vincent Eschalier: Victor Hugo Desks

The Vincent Eschalier studio rehabilitates a private mansion in the 16th arrondissement of the capital into a tertiary complex. Combining the charm of the old with the sobriety of contemporary architecture, the project is dedicated to welcoming a financial company.

15.02.20  Trapeze Architecture: The umbrellas of Cherbourg

The Umbrellas of Charbourg, famous film by Jacques Demy from 1964 now also refers to the Trapèze Architecture project which reinvests the old Umbrella factory in Charbourg and transforms it into an exceptional contemporary loft. Catherine Deneuve's point here, but a bright accommodation with a resolutely contemporary industrial character.

15.02.20  Atelier Féret & Frechon: House of sports and associations

Registered in the popular district of the Maison Rouge of Louviers (27), the House of Sports and Associations breathes new life into a somewhat neglected area. Signed Atelier Féret & Frechon, the complex strongly signals its presence thanks to marked architectural choices.

15.02.20  PPA Architectures and Encore Happy: Salle des Fêtes de Pratgraussals

The agencies ppa architectures and Encore Heureux team up to create the new Pratgraussals d'Albi village hall (81). The sober and elegant project relies on flexibility and modularity, in order to adapt to the effervescence of the inhabitants' life and to the diversity of events that the equipment will host.

15.02.20  KOZ architects: Sensations

Wood is causing a sensation in Strasbourg (67)! The KOZ Architects agency designs, for Eurometropolis, a high-rise building entirely made of wood. Culminating at 38 meters high, the “Sensations” housing building goes down in history, in front of the largest building in France using 100% this warm and ecological material.

15.02.20  Enia architects: Church of St. Joseph

The faithful of Montigny-Lès-Cormeilles (95) finally benefit from a new place of worship! The Christians of the town, who hitherto gathered in a dilapidated prefabricated building from the 1970s, now enjoy a bright and contemporary temple built by teams from the Enia architectes agency. Back to a divine project.

14.02.20  Ignacio Prego Architectures and MAGMA Architecture: Courthouse

Commissioned to build the new Pointe-à-Pitre Courthouse in Guadeloupe (97), the agencies Ignacio Prego Architectures and MAGMA Architecture offer a contemporary reinterpretation of the ancestral symbolism of the judicial space. Architects explore the concepts of stability, measure and justice through the creation of an architecture of controlled balance echoing the current legislative world.
