29.04.20 Exhibition: Erwin Wurm

Conceived by the European House of Photography in partnership with General Stores, the exhibition entitled "Erwin Wurm, photographs", the first major retrospective devoted to the photographic work of artist Erwin Wurm (born in 1954), invites you to discover images his absurd universe, and his sculptures as funny as reflexive.

28.04.20 Barozzi Veiga: MCBA - Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts of Lausanne

While it previously occupied the Palais de Rumine, the MCBA - Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts in Lausanne (Switzerland) now benefits from its own building, a monolith with brutalist overtones signed Barozzi-Veiga. Located in the city center, the complex aims to give birth to a new arts district: Platform 10, which will eventually bring together the MCBA, the Museum of Design and Applied Arts (MUDAC) and the Élysée Museum , an establishment dedicated to photography. 20.04.20 Ego Paris x Studio 5.5: SUTRA Collection

17.04.20 Feature: 5 famous architectures by Luis Barragán

In this period of confinement, a little color does not hurt! This is why, this Friday, the editorial team is focusing on the career of the Mexican architect Luis Barragán. Rewarded with the Pritzker Prize in 1980, the designer distinguished himself from his colleagues by a vibrant and electric style, paying homage to the architecture of his native country as well as to modernist movements.

It was during the “Nocturnes” exhibition at the Fondation Henri Cartier Bresson (3rd arrondissement) that we discovered an unprecedented corpus of works by the Spanish artist Marie Bovo: photographs from five different series, but all taken at dusk, between dog and wolf, which magnify deserted cities and falsely depopulated spaces. While the confinement has just been extended until May 11, these images of the void, captured between France and Africa, seem particularly appropriate.

A subtle intervention that highlights the architectural writing of the historic building while inviting the creativity of the scenographers.
