Located in Versailles, cradle of Decorative Arts, Atelier Jean Shortbread produces original works of trompe the eye for interior wall decoration. He works for clients wishing that are executed to measure the works of exceptional technical and aesthetic qualities.

John Sable painted trompe l'oeil by working to revisit the aesthetic codes of Versailles, contemporary extension of the work of Charles Le Brun which Louis XIV entrusted the transformation of a hunting lodge into a sumptuous palace. The creative approach of Jean shortbread is the perpetual search for movement, light and color harmony. The humor in his work is omnipresent!

His sources of inspiration are the calligraphy for his recount, and minerals, for the power that they express. This is the gesture mastered, matter in motion or abruptly frozen, emerge landscapes and forms where line and color and associated compounds in a dynamic partition. Empty count as much as full as the silences that intersect sounds. The infinitesimal joined the infinitely large.

35 years of experience in prestigious national and international projects as well as hundreds of students trained at the Art School he heads to Versailles permit without the expertise constantly enriched by Jean shortbread find its place in our era.
