The 30 May 5 2016 the June festival DAYS OF invests Paris and offers a vision of design, vector of economic, cultural and social. Crucible for exchange, discovery and thinking, DAYS OF settled this year in the parent institution of the discipline: Decorative Arts. The museum becomes the natural anchor of the festival, in the heart of a unique program where marry crafts and contemporary design.


The design makes its r / evolution!

Winner Audi talents awards 2015, Isabelle Daëron present "Chantepleure-sur-Seine" on the lawn of the Museum of Decorative Arts, part of his work on the revaluation of non-potable water network of the City of Paris.

DAAN Roosegaarde: LUMINOR
On Days, in co-production with Panerai, offer an expedition to the dimensions of the cold light through the research and experimentation Daan Roosegaarde which devotes its research to the relationship between man, space, technology and light. 

The identity of Design Festival Grand Paris 2016 was set volume through 3D printing technology of sintering of long chain polymer powder to obtain a surprisingly biocompatible spring made of renewable material.

LOEVE: PLUG & DREAM'S OUTSIDE AND INSIDE TRIPS
The exhibition "Plug and dream's outside and inside trips" offers the unique experience of living a moment of well-being with its furniture, thanks to a technology mastered and caring, serving human sensitivity.

OBJETS.PUBICS. : ILLUSIONS
Objets.Publics. Rocs presents the foundations and Animation basket. Beyond their duties, these furniture, obtained by layering patterns, provide visual game to the observer. The Illusions scenography plays with these frames to gradually reveal the way the hidden side of the presented furniture.

POSTER FOR TOMORROW: Extremism MAKE HISTORY
Since 2009, Poster for Tomorrow has put design at the service of great causes and counts more than 25000 posters dedicated to freedom of expression, gender equality, the right to education, housing, work or health. . In 2016, Poster for Tomorrow targets extremism, whether religious, societal, political or environmental.

ORIENTED: NATURE OF THINGS - HONSEI
Oriented presents the exhibition "The Nature of Things - Honsei". In their meeting with the wood and clay, three creators question 'being' of things, the wood chips to the traditional architecture of Kyoto through porcelain, guided by instinct gesture.

STOKKE TRIPP TRAPP ® MAXI 
Stokke® invites you to sit on a giant size of its iconic Tripp Trapp® high chair, imagined in 1972 by the Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik to “grow together” by promoting interactions and links between parents and children.

RAMY FISCHLER: BRIGHT IMAGE
At the junction of the light, film and the connected object, Ramy Fischler imagine cinematic lighting and "made of light" in every sense of the word. By exploiting the range of resources opened by the new automation tools, the designer operates an extension of the first function of the luminaire to the possibility of making the engine experiences where everything is possible.

PERI'FABRIQUE
Péri'Fabrique moved back to the Museum of Decorative Arts for the duration of the Festival. Experience of co-creating objects, supported by the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation and the East territory Ensemble, she enrolled in a process of artistic exploration between a designer and a craftsman but by reversing the roles: the craftsman choose their partner.

Taiwan, guest of honor DAYS OF 2016

TAIWAN - UNFOLDING
Designed by the Hand in Hand Association, with the support of Ministry of Culture of Taiwan and the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, TAIWAN-UNFOLDING reveals the ties between the craftsmen, artists and designers today with Taiwanese paper, a ubiquitous material in popular traditions.

Meetings with young designers

BERNARD CHAUVEAU & ESAD REIMS
Bernard Chauveau Edition and the Higher School of Art and Design in Reims (ESAD) have a selection of unpublished works of young design students. This unique partnership between the publisher and the School is committed to long-term co-editing of objects designed by the students in question for most of their first edition.

SCHOOL CAMONDO: ARCHITECTURE NOMADS
Students architects-designers appropriate the inventions of the pioneers of tensegrity: DG Emmerich, R. Buckminster Fuller, K. Snelson. They develop individual modules whose assembly takes a spectacular acrobatic dimension and to interconnect the elements that collectively assume the balance through the network of tensions, a monumental structure, strong and nomadic.

HIGH SCHOOL OF THE ARTS OF THE RHINE: MECHANICAL JAM
The University of the Arts of the Rhine (HEAR) in partnership with the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Strasbourg have a common partition mechanisms around in perpetual motion, turning, ascending and space-time vortex. Between applied physics and poetry of instinct, this collective work questions the shared experience, the way of thinking and produce together.
