The Decorative Arts Museum welcomes TAIWAN - UNFOLDING. Designed by the Hand in Hand Association, with the support of Ministry of Culture of Taiwan and the Taiwan Cultural Centre in Paris, the exhibition reveals the ties between the craftsmen, artists and designers with Taiwanese paper.

Historically present in the culture of the island, this versatile material has an important place in popular traditions, the funeral ritual the amazing jewelry. Industry and contemporary crafts appropriated qualities and were able to perpetuate everyday use.


TAIWAN-UNFOLDING offers a progressive discovery of different uses of paper in a fun and informative way to show the creative qualities of Taiwan, along a route devised by Patricio Sarmiento. And are presented offerings paper Hsin Hsin, fantastic works of artist Hung Hsin-Fu, an educational space of Suho Memorial Paper Museum, and an eclectic mix of contemporary design creations.

This year, Taiwan is the country in honor of D'Days festival. TAIWAN-The UNFOLDING exhibition is accompanied by various exhibitions to discover, in various places of the capital, the creativity of Taiwanese design.
