Majorelle + Majencia : Tour Blanche, bureaux d’ERDF à La Défense

The CB16 Tower, one of the oldest towers of La Défense, was the subject of a major renovation conducted by Petraccone & Vodar agency that was completed in 2014. Renamed "White Tower", in line with the chosen architectural bias, it welcomes the ERDF teams today.

The facades were filed. A new skin alternating panels in corian and glass incorporating a film of white microdots filtering the sunlight give the tower its characteristic appearance. It is now the White Tower Defense and welcomes 1100 employees ERDF.

One of the peculiarities of the project lies in the period of realization: 18 months in total - including asbestos removal - 13 months and for interior works. This high-rise building, very traditional in organizing trays (one core and optimized CHC Z-shaped maximizing the units) required a work of reappropriation of spaces and volumes to become a real tool contemporary. One of the objectives of the arrangements was to offer employees a variety of spaces both types of plane (high seats, ergonomic chairs, sofas, benches ...) that on diversified work environment promoting reflection, the exchange, concentration and the impromptu meeting.

The Majorelle agency intervened in council to define and structure the interior spaces. The Majencia agency meanwhile was entrusted by the developer in creating bespoke fittings and specific furniture to meet the needs of different types (workspaces, informal spaces, Waiting ...). A high rating was also deployed associating a color code on each floor taken especially in these informal spaces.
