Concrete : INK Hôtel Amsterdam

The INK Hotel Amsterdam is located in Amsterdam canalside, in a building of the early century 20ème completely refurbished by the architectural firm Concrete in order to create a friendly place for both temporary accommodation and entertainment .

This hotel is named - INK - the fact that it is located in the former premises of the headquarters of a Dutch newspaper that has seen much attention. The 149 guestrooms part of the new chain MGallery, Accor is spread over 3 buildings.

The entrance to the hotel welcomes its guests with dark wood panels carved letters representatives of large format different typefaces referring to the world of the press. The hotel has a bar and restaurant hosting both the hotel guests as the area creating a friendly place.

Inside the rooms, the simply furnished in soothing gray tones is adorned with American walnut finishes with the cooperation of the Dutch agency with the American Hardwood Export Council. In public areas, lockers with different wood species accommodate various decorative objects recalling the past of the building: typewriters and rolls of paper are displayed on wooden shelves.

Touches of color are added through details like cushions or books in the colors of the rainbow sky. The whole forms a set where guests can flourish evolving in a warm setting.
