party/space/design : Shugaa

In the heart of Bangkok opened Shugaa, a dessert bar. Imagined by the party / space / design agency, the entire place is inspired by the menu and its main ingredient, sugar, from its molecular structure to the crystals that compose it.

This central concept emerges from the façade of the establishment, where a large installation made up of wooden polygons covers large windows. A similar installation is placed inside, covering the ceiling.

The pastel green walls also refer to sugar through geometric shapes: a wood mosaic for one, masonry reliefs for the other.

A wide spiral staircase over the entrance of the bar. Wood and acrylic brick is a sugar tower that leads upstairs.

The custom-made lights invest the space by forming cascades of copper cubes.

The furniture combines light wood with marble and pastel colors; the shapes are soft, childish and geometric. The whole forms a "pop-Scandinavian" universe conducive to the tasting of sweets.
