Shops, stores

13.02.19 Torafu Architects: Aesop

Definitely, the shops of Australian cosmetics brand Aesop are real playgrounds for architects! After having left it to the Norwegian agency Snøhetta to draw their stall in the Chelsea neighborhood (United Kingdom), the firm entrusts the design of its new store in Tokyo (Japan) to local architects: Torafu Architects. The result is a set that reflects the neighborhood of Shibuya where it sits, between old and contemporary.

08.02.19 KOKO Architects: Balti Station Market

KOKO Architects places the Balti market in the heart of the Tallinn community (Estonia). On this central site north of the capital, a growing number of residents, tourists and passengers gather in this contemporary version of a historic site, having, for more than a century, welcomed users of the railway station and the old warehouses.

Make the arrival of tourists to the hotel an extension of the view by plane during the overflight of the city Light ... In the heart of the Capital, architect Franklin Azzi writes a new chapter of the Parisian passages, with the aptly named Beaupassage: a gallery of 4 744 square meters of floor space entirely dedicated to epicureans. An alliance of the traditional and the contemporary, in the facades as in the plates.

Last October, the Studio Briand & Berthereau delivered the rehabilitation of a room located in the 2e district of Paris that once housed a clothing store. An intervention whose stakes far exceeded the architectural question, since the place now serves as a haven for an endangered species: an independent bookstore.

In 2017, the baker Paulin Leuridan opens his shop in the city of Lège-Cap-Ferret (33).
