12.06.18  Michael Green Architecture: Dock Building

On Jericho Beach in Vancouver (Canada), the Dock Building built by the agency Michael Green Architecture (MGA) for the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club is installed in a vast marina of sailboats. This storage building and offices of the harbor master's office takes up the industrial aesthetic of the surrounding constructions dating from the beginning of the last century. Inscribed in a context of sustainable development, it blends in with the maritime colors of the bay.

07.06.18  Amelia Tavella Architects: A Strega School

Strega originally means "witch" in Corsican, and by extension means someone unpleasant or strange. The school of the same name, located in the village of Santa Maria Siché in the southwest of the island of beauty, is however the opposite. If its discrete contemporary lines did not betray it, one could believe that it was always part of the landscape, so much it is integrated there.

06.06.18  Andrew D. Berman: Chapel

For the first time in its history the city-state of the Vatican enters the prestigious Venice Biennale (Italy). A presence celebrated by ten architects from around the world, reinterpreting each in their own way the theme of the chapel on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore. An exercise in style that dusted off the image of the seat of the Catholic Church.

Surrounded by bamboo forests, the village of Daomingzhen (China) has benefited since last year from a multifunctional community cultural center, designed by the Shanghai agency Archi-Union Architects, whose eight-shaped roof recalls the symbol of 'infinite.

04.06.18  Chaix & Morel et associés and W & Cie: Modernization of Roland Garros

In Boulogne-Billancourt (92), the legendary Roland Garros site is getting a makeover. At the helm of this titanic 11,16 hectare expansion and renovation project: Chaix & Morel and associates for the urban and architectural part - excluding the main land -, and W & Cie for the visual identity. An intervention that extends the tradition of excellence of this French tennis institution and allows it to keep its place in the big boys' court.

29.05.18  Claeys / Haelvoet Architecten: Potyze heritage reserve

The Yprès campaign (Belgium) is a vast necropolis, where there are some 170 military cemeteries, including that of Saint-Charles de Potyze, in front of which a cultural heritage reserve was built in 2017 by the Claeys agency / Haelvoet Architecten. Designed to store collections of works of art and objects related to the First World War, this storage space is one of the witnesses of the history of the place.

28.05.18  Lund + Slaatto Architects: Ulstein Arena

The Norwegian municipality of Ulsteinvik offers a second youth thanks to the realization of a large-scale project with multiple uses conceived by the Scandinavian agency Lund + Slaatto Architects. Sports halls, swimming pools, and even a library, take place in a group of two glazed buildings, open to the snowy landscapes of the region.

24.05.18  Kientruc O: Kindergarten Chuon Chuon Kim 2

After a first nursery school built in 2015 in the historic center of Ho Chi Minh, the largest city in Vietnam, the Kientruc O agency transforms the test in 2018 with the Chuon Chuon Kim 2 Kindergarten, taking the archetypal form of a house. Toddlers are here a little home.
