Catherine Pommier : Château de Massillan

A Uchaux, Catherine Pommier designs bathrooms Trianon of the Sun, in the former stables of the Château de Massillan. The interior designer blurs the boundaries between inside and outside and imagine a place in harmony with nature, where natural, organic and environmentally friendly materials to encourage fullness. For this project, Catherine Pommier won the Trophy 1er price Axor 2015, in the category Hotels.

"The bathroom has to be a nice quiet peaceful place, this is the first place that comes to sleep before sunset and sunrise" Catherine Pommier

A large sliding door reveals a bathroom bathed in light. The interior designer was able to take advantage of the lack of vis-à-vis and the proximity of nature, which the occupants enjoy through a bay giving access to the garden. Placing nature at the heart of the project, Catherine Pommier surrounded herself with a geobiologist and Frédéric Cadet, eco-designer. In addition, all the materials used are of natural origin.

The bathroom is dressed in wood and stone. Light wooden canopy supported by two pieces of driftwood to protect the bathtub and provides a warm atmosphere to the room. A central wall hosts the washbasin and concealed shower. The fittings are from the collection Axor Starck Organic, whose shapes inspired by nature and instead agree with the spirit of the project.
