07.01.20  Chabanne Agency: La Patinoire Michel Raffoux

After the ice rinks of Louviers (27) and Angers (49), the architecture and engineering agency Chabanne is building a contemporary ice rink for the Urban Community of Dunkirk (CUD). Located between land and sea in an old industrial port site called Môle 1, the Michel Raffoux ice rink is helping to revive this historic site. Faced with such an urban context, the Chabanne agency teams created sports equipment that is open to the outside.

06.01.20  Chak Kit: Hong Kong

Rather than capturing realistic images of Hong Kong, the young photographer Chak Kit immortalizes the magnetic energy of the Chinese megalopolis in purified snapshots on the border of abstraction. Become famous thanks to social networks, he poses a look of esthete on the urban landscape of Hong Kong and shares his colorful visions of the city on Instagram.

03.01.20  RAUM: Cultural Space of the White Stones

At the heart of small towns, the village halls now enjoy real architectural treatments and reflections as practical as they are aesthetic. Proof of this is with the latest creation from the RAUM workshop in Nantes, which designs for the city of Saint-Jean-de-Boisseau (44) a multipurpose room a thousand places from the bland and classic buildings that usually characterize this type of program.

24.12.19  Pietri Architects: La Crique

The architectural agency Pietri Architects erects a set of 145 apartments in Marseille (13) on a natural site with lush vegetation. The complex, located at the foot of the Aigle mountain, owes its name, La Crique, to its geographical location. Bright white architecture that enhances the 9th arrondissement while integrating harmoniously with the surrounding nature.

19.12.19  Schnepp Renou: Architecture Photography

The two young photographers, Morgane Renou and Simon Schnepp, have formed the Schnepp Renou duo since 2012. Specializing in architectural photography, the Franco-German duo captures urban landscapes around the world and magnifies them with an artistic mastery of photography. Zoom on an outstanding collective work.

17.12.19  Romain Laprade: Domestic Pool

From La Piscine by Jacques Deray to Swimming Pool by François Ozon, via The Swimmer by Frank Perry, the pool has often been a source of inspiration for the visual arts. Designed for Villa Noailles (83) in 2018, the photographic series "Domestic Pool" by Romain Laprade celebrates the dream pool of Alain Capeillères. Tart visuals that smell good in summer.

16.12.19  Event: Orléans Biennale # 2 - Our years of solitude

Launch an Architecture Biennial, a risky bet? Difficult to say the opposite as the events of the genre flourish and fade at great speed. And yet, awaited at the turn, the Biennale of Orleans manages, one more year, to fare well. Placed under the sign of solitude, the event draws on the exceptional collection of the FRAC Center-Val de Loire and the limitless imagination of its curators, Abdelkader Damani and Luca Galofaro.

06.12.19  Pseudonym: Les Balcons sur la Mer

The Parisian agency Pseudonyme still strikes and decorates the Quai Duguay Trouin of the city of Le Portel (62) wooden balconies offering various views on the Opal Coast. A new way to enjoy the waterfront, between mini-public spaces and sculptural installations.

05.12.19  David Chipperfield Architects: Center Pompidou x West Bund Museum Project

After setting up in Malaga and then in Brussels, the Pompidou Center is exported to Shanghai, China. Following the inauguration of the building built by David Chipperfield, the museum has just opened its doors to the public last Saturday. Back to the genesis of a major project promoting cultural and economic exchanges between France and China.
