08.04.20  Nicolas Dorval-Bory Architects + VORBOT Architects: Villa Bloch

Nicolas Dorval-Bory Architects and VORBOT Architects join forces to respond to the daring cultural project led by the City of Poitiers (86) and financed by the municipality, the department and the State. They thus took up the challenge of designing contemporary spaces dedicated to hosting artistic residences in the former home of the writer, pro-European politician, anti-fascist activist and French journalist Jean-Richard Bloch.

The Milanese agency Peter Pichler Architecture is developing a new concept for sustainable houses. Nestled in the pine trees of West Virginia in the United States, these small wooden shelters offer an exceptional tourist experience in the middle of the forest.

02.04.20  Fox Browne Creative and Alexander + Walt: & Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge

South African interior design agencies Fox Browne Creative and Alexander + Walt transformed the former Sossusvlei lodge, built in the 1990s in Namibia (Africa), into a luxury hotel. Very confidential, the ten new pavilions awaken in guests a healthy state of mind, mixed with a pleasant feeling of tranquility.

31.03.20  Graal Architecture: Jaurès Leisure Center

The city of Athis-Mons (91) has a new leisure center. Designed by the Parisian agency Graal Architecture, the 610 square meter monolith is characterized by a rhythmic concrete facade tinted in the mass of a pink color. Located on a complex site, the building provides the link with the rest of the neighborhood. Zoom on a set that articulates the different scales of this part of the city with panache.

In the city of Zapopan in Mexico, stands the Casa A690. This residential house from the seventies gets a facelift after being completely renovated by the Mexican architect Delfino Lozano. 

24.03.20  Faulkner Architects: Burnt Cedar

The American agency Faulkner Architects, created by Greg Faulkner in 1998, built a spacious family home called "Burnt Cedar" for a family of car enthusiasts. Located on the north shore of Lake Tahoe opposite Burnt Cedar Beach in Incline Village (Nevada, United States), the residence rhymes with steel, light wood, textured concrete, glass and contemporary furniture.

23.03.20  Cent15 architecture: Tiger Paper

The contemporary Papier Tigre stationery is getting a makeover! Under the leadership of the agency Cent15 architecture, the space on rue des Filles du Calvaire (3rd arrondissement) now includes a sales area, a customization area and a manufacturing workshop. A place with an industrial soul warmed by the colors of the brand's iconic notebooks.

20.03.20  Spaceworkers: Interpretation center of Romanesque art

The Portuguese architecture and design studio Spaceworkers, founded by architects Henrique Marques and Rui Dinis, and by financial consultant Carla Duarte, designs a concrete building to house the Interpretation Center for Romanesque art. Located in the city of Lousada in Portugal, this very contemporary building reinterprets the vocabulary of Romanesque architecture.

15.03.20  Exhibition: Houses for Superstars, hypermedia architecture

Until March 15, the exhibition “Houses for Superstars, hypermedia architecture” organized by the villa Noailles in Hyères (83), addresses hypermedia architecture through the prism of celebrity houses. A first for the center of art of national interest in the Var, whose historic building embodies the meeting between star sponsors, social patrons Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles, and a famous modernist architect, Robert Mallet-Stevens. Luxurious, eccentric or disproportionate, these celebrity residences delight fans in the image of the lives of their owners.
