Flare, système de façade dynamique

Recently unveiled to the public during the exhibition NEXT - Art and technology in Arhus in Denmark, Flare is a new system for creating animated facades or walls. Presented by Berlin of Whitevoid, Flare consists of modules made of metal prisms mounted on small air cylinders.

Computer controlled, all abilities reflected accurately any kind of scenario or animation. Flare then gives life to the buildings. Their usually static skin vibrates and comes alive, covered in small waves or deep movements. Dynamic, architecture is decomposed and recomposed in front of the user or of the way. The metal prisms capture natural light, are adorned with reflections, their multifaceted pass from darkness to darkness, as pixels that are turned on and off. But a video is worth a thousand words:
