The Boxhome is a compact house prototype made by Rintala Eggertsson for the Roma Gallery in Oslo. An inspiring study with amazing interior spaces.

Between town house and shelter, the Boxhome is designed to meet the basic needs of a single individual or a couple. It offers all the comforts and modern amenities in a living space of only 19 m².

Deploying on 2 levels, it offers its occupants a kitchen with dining area and a bathroom on the ground floor and a bedroom and an upstairs living room.

Even if the interior space is minimized, bathed in natural light it astonishes by its prospects.

The outer dimensions of this house are particularly low: 5,50 meters long 5,70 2,30 meters high and meters wide.

Outside and inside, the materials are flattering, aluminum panels on wood structure to the skin and wood for lining floors and walls.

According to its designers, the price of this house is only a quarter of the cost of building an equivalent surface apartment.

The Boxhome, not a house like other against which many students or young couples gladly troqueraient their small flat ...
