Sacré wagon

In Russia, many former train cars are recycled into Orthodox places of worship. After the bar car and sleeper car, discover the church car.

Russia has a large number of churches established in train cars, isolated or combined to form a whole. A contemporary phenomenon whose origins date back to the expansion of the national railway network.

When establishing homes or creating new towns in remote areas, the train was used to transport goods and people to their destination. Today, the rails that led them were dismantled but some cars are still there, sometimes later moved and ingeniously transformed into churches.

Similarly, you can also find our article "Subway-work, offices in the subway " with subway cars converted into offices and stacked on London's East End roof.
