In Kaunas in Lithuania, the Office Center "1000" a 10 storey office building takes the form and decoration of a giant bank note.

Designed by the architectural firm RA Studija, the Office Center "1000" stands in the northern suburbs of Kaunas.

Neither projection nor temporary installation, this decor is indeed permanent and realized thanks to an enamelled paint deposited on the 4500 pieces of glass which constitute the facade of the building. Together, they draw this giant banknote, a 1000 Lithuanian Litas note from 1926.

Urmas director of marketing, the company responsible for the project, Jonas Plenta stresses that the Office Center "1000" should not be reduced to a monument to money and power.

For the architect Rimas Adomaitis RA Studija, the message conveyed is even any other since the ticket was used as a model during the interwar period, during a period when Lithuania was independent.

Note, however, that the two largest Lithuanian banks, SEB and Snoras Bankas, were among the first companies to move into the building.
