XS House

In a residential block of Cambridge, Massachusetts, this little house surprised by its stacked and staggered volumes with natural light while preserving the privacy of residents.

Designed by the architects Chaewon Kim and Beat Schenk UNI agency, this house of about 100 square meters of living space is composed of three volumes of 4,90 6,70 meters by meters stacked and staggered. More than a formal game, this shift raises the interstices which are placed roof windows and bathed within a generous and dramatic natural lighting while preserving the prying eyes of neighbors. marine plywood coated on the outside, the XS offers within different treatment on each floor, marble on the first level, oak plywood to second.
