Axel Schoenert : Le MOST

The agency Axel Schoenert architects was commissioned to restructure the former headquarters of Goldman and Sachs: the office building located at street 2 Thann in 17ème arrondissement of Paris. Axel Schoenert, lover and expert in these matters between heritage and contemporary intervention introduces a new page of history at the heart of these ancient walls Haussmann.

Through a search of architectural transition writing, between the old and the contemporary speech, the architect played with two reasons. One taken and inspired exterior ironwork, the other in the form of diffuse and elegant pixels. The latter being declined inside on different surfaces. For the architect, nothing is fixed, and all buildings evolve with their time. He then tried to install a respectful dialogue between the history of the place, to which we must pay attention, and a new architectural birth allowing the building to evolve in response to new expectations and new habits.

The project now provides a modular floor area of 4.130 m². The development and intensification of spaces, HQE Exceptional, BREEAM Excellent and BBC, the PMK compliance as well as the entire interior architecture fit this building among the high standard office buildings of Central Business District Paris CBD, ideally located opposite the Parc Monceau.
