In Limoges (87), the architects of the ANMA agency sign the construction of the new Courthouse. A mix of strength and delicacy that we invite you to discover the recipe.
The design of a courthouse is not an easy task. It is a program that requires courts of course, but also offices, courtrooms, airlocks and security stations ... All these constraints and its role of representation imply to pay particular attention to its form. which must be both strong and integrated with the urban context while conveying a form of solemnity.
A difficult balance, that the architects of the agency ANMA managed to obtain with the Palace of justice of Limoges. Delivered in December, the S-shaped inverted and elevated building on five levels (including one in the basement) emerges despite its size - and its mission! - an astonishing impression of lightness. The reason ? The entrance, signaled by a delicate white cantilever cap, whose obvious technical prowess is enough to make forget the size of the Palace itself.
In addition to embodying justice, the project stands out from its peers by its exemplary energy. Anxious to exceed the requirements of RT 2005, the Palais includes photovoltaic installations, prefabricated reinforced concrete panels with insulation from recycled materials or a green roof. Hat!
