Ameller, Dubois et Associés : Pôle de l'enfance et École Pierre-Perret

In Serris (77), near the famous theme park dedicated to the most famous mouse, the agency Ameller, Dubois and Associates signs a school project and pole of childhood away from the phantasmagorical architecture of its nearby. As a desire to emancipate the soft power of Mickey Mouse.

In the shadows of Mickey and the Sleeping Beauty castle, next to the Disneyland Paris theme park, the small town of Serris (77) is experiencing a certain development, as evidenced by the recent construction of almost two thousand apartments. a brand new pole of childhood. Produced by the agency Ameller, Dubois and Associates, it detonates in the region by its style in break with the local architecture: "The fairy-like and neo-classical aesthetics of the park has re fl ected on the surrounding urbanism that it itself stimulated, notably by the recent construction of neo-Haussmann-style residential buildings, and of which our project 'adopts none of the codes, obviously'explain the designers.

Bringing together two schools - kindergarten and primary - a sports center, a library, a multipurpose room and dining rooms, the project has been designed to provide maximum comfort to school children, while "Promoting the social bond". In this perspective, "A north-south transversal circulation makes it possible to distribute all the elements of the program - especially kindergarten in the west and primary school in the east. Planted with future large trees, this pleasant link plays a structuring role throughout the establishment, promoting the distribution of students from different sections ", detail the architects, while the "Solar protections, noble and warm materials, balanced proportions, structured structure, sculpted form contribute to a positive perception of this equipment in the new city". The proof that well-being in everyday life does not necessarily imply fairies in sequined dresses ...
