Benjamin Fleury : 55 logements

As part of the urban renewal of the southern neighborhoods of Villeneuve-la-Garenne (92), the architect Benjamin Fleury designs three colorful housing buildings that punctuate and energize three different points of the same residential area, previously uninviting.

The project of Benjamin Fleury detonates by its delicacy, it is surrounded by large bars and towers higher than the others. Comprising three small buildings with a well-defined color code, the complex has a total of 55 housing divided into three lots of four levels each, for a total area of 3 762 square meters (Shab).

The architect here takes the opposite of the verticality of the southern districts of Villeneuve-la-Garenne, preferring horizontality. A way of detaching from the stereotypical works of the suburbs of Paris.

A marked template and shape, offset by a strong identity of the three studs located in different areas of the same neighborhood. Thus, although they are not juxtaposed, the constructions function as a unity to the common writing. All of them are covered with terracotta bricks, and the buildings benefit from loggias with bright shades - red, orange and yellow - inspired by the solid colors of the painter Mark Rothko. A bias that works as a benchmark.

An inspiring program that will probably contribute to the valorization of the southern districts of Villeneuve-la-Garenne.
