Arhitekt 11 : Äripäev Office

Housed in a former factory of the XXe century of 2 739 square meters of floor space, the new offices of the Aripäev News Agency, designed by Estonian architects Arhitekt 11, do not lack air under their vast concrete arches! With their open boxes on this vast common volume, they constitute a framework that promotes both collective and individual work.

The company Äripäev, representing an influential Estonian media chain, settles in one of the largest industrial buildings in the Baltic territory: an imposing concrete 38,3 concrete hall by 63,7, which the building owners have chosen to unpack entirely in order to valorize its arches and especially to exploit the imposing height under ceiling, being able to reach 13 meters of height to the ridge.
On a single plateau superimposed on a technical ground floor where the entrance and the toilets are arranged, the architects have a central area dedicated to group activities and relaxation, around which individual workspaces revolve. or meeting arranged in microarchitectures rounded in plywood, according to the principle of "box in the box".

An achievement that proves that historic building and contemporary professional activities are perfectly reconcilable.
