Charles-Henri Tachon architecture&paysage et Territoires, paysagiste : Maison de la Réserve

In Congis-sur-Thérouanne (77), the agencies Charles-Henri Tachon architecture & landscape and territories, landscaper delivered in March this year one of their most beautiful projects: the Reserve House of the Regional Domain Grand Voyeux. A pavilion designed to facilitate the observation of endemic birds and offer visitors an experience they are not about to forget ...

Located in Congis-sur-Thérouanne in Seine-et-Marne, the regional area of Grand-Voyeux is an oasis of nature in Île-de-France, for many still unsuspected. With an area of 192 hectares, this property of the Regional Council offers breathtaking biotopes: marshes and other bodies of water, forests and meadows, in which it is not unusual to observe rare birds among 220 species present here. A wealth that has earned it to be classified Regional Nature Reserve in 2012.

It is to promote this place that the Agency for green spaces in the region has chosen to build a House Reserve: a place for public reception where visitors could observe the local flora and fauna without the alter, while benefiting from the knowledge transmitted by a teaching team. A mission entrusted, accepted and carried out by the architect Charles-Henri Tachon and the landscape architects of Territoires, landscaper.

Inspired by the beauty of the still virgin places, the designer has devised an observatory all wood. Placed on a terrace itself prolonged by pontoons inviting to stroll, the project enjoys an ideal position, at the edge of a water point and at the edge of the forest. Advantage that Charles-Henri Tachon has applied to stage, especially through the division of the program into three separate volumes arranged in the manner of a campfire: one for the public, another to house the technical spaces and a third for the toilet. Around it, "retaining walls made up of wooden piles consisting of a post-pile and horizontal planks" mark the boundaries of this micro-village, whose three huts are clad in similar cladding, for greater discretion. "The visitor has still not perceived the immensity of the site, when, suddenly, the first pond appears. Like a painting framed between two bodies of the reception pavilion and the roof of the courtyard, the landscape of the Domain is finally offered to his gaze, "describes the architect to explain his concept.

Inside, too, everything is about framing and views. Thus, the entrance of visitors is marked by a passage to the reception; it is only after budding birdwatchers discover the main hall, equipped with douglas pine terraces, and of course, a large bay window offering a breathtaking view of the Domaine and its feathered inhabitants . Proof that even an incredible landscape can be sublimated by an intelligent staging ...
