Pli Public Workshop : Appel à candidature

Since 2015, the magazine Pli takes a critical look at the world of architecture, supporting young contemporary creation, research and graphic arts, highlighted over the numbers. A positioning that asserts itself a little more this year at the launch of the Pli Public Workshop, a competition for the new generation of architects and designers, whose editorial Muuuz has the honor of being a partner . At your pencils, you have until 10 May to apply!

Each issue has its own color, each edition has its theme. After addressing the issues conflicts and the quality of their the material in the last two years, the Gazette has expanded its field of action. True patrons of the new generation of architects and designers, the Pli teams are launching this year the Pli Public Workshop - or PPW -, a program designed to highlight the talents of tomorrow, which unfolds in three stages: a research and support phase, a production phase of the project and a presentation of the project through an exhibition.

The candidates will have the mission to present an unreleased work, related to the theme of the next issue with the cryptic title: obsessions, available in November 2019. With the only constraint of being focused on architecture, the proposals can take many forms: micro-architecture, artifact, visual or sound installations, video, performance etc. Everything is possible to dazzle the jury composed of ten experts from the disciplines concerned such as - among others - Matali Crasset (Designeuse), Juliette Armanet (Singer-songwriter), Christopher Top (Director of Fold / Scenographer, PAF Workshop), Alexandre Labasse (Director of the Arsenal Pavilion) or Eva Maloisel (architect, Peaks).

To apply, nothing more simple! Competitors will have to send a file before the deadline. This deadline will then give rise to a pre-selection which will be presented to the jurors who will deliberate 7 June 2019 and whose ten selected projects will have the chance to be presented during a collective exhibition at the Pavillon de l'Arsenal in the fall next.

Notice to young creators brimming with ideas!
