Événement : Pli Public Workshop 01

Pli launches the first edition of the Pli Public Workshop (PPW), a contest for young architects, artists and designers to promote different approaches to architectural creation. The exhibition of selected projects will be held at the Pavillon de l'Arsenal (4th arrondissement) of 28 November 2019 January 5 2020. Curious, committed and multidisciplinary, this new generation of creators commands admiration. Review emerging talents to follow.

Since 2015, the association Pli - founded by Christopher Dessus, Marion Claret and Adrien Rapin - promotes architectural research through a collaborative journal published every year. Next step in the democratization of the discipline, the event Pli Public Workshop, co-produced by Pli, Paf atelier and Pavillon de l'Arsenal, actively supports the new generation of architects, artists and designers, students and recent graduates. The PPW's creation assistance program allows candidates to produce a project while benefiting from professional follow-up until the collective exhibition.

For its launch, the PPW addresses the notion of obsession, which is also the central theme of the fifth issue of the journal. The eleven winners selected by a jury of experts - including singer and performer Juliette Armanet, designers Mathieu Bassée and Matali Crasset - therefore develop a reflection on this theme while experimenting artistic practice by producing a concrete project.
