Atelier Vens Vanbelle : Alex Guesthouse

Created for a Belgian cinema producer, the "Guesthouse" designed by Atelier Vens Vanbelle is an extension with remarkable architecture, contrasting with the owner's French-style main house. Comprising a bedroom, a living room and a projection room, the atypical set seems straight out of a movie steampunk.

Alex wanted to decorate his garden near the Schelde with an extension in his image: cinematographic and atypical. Welcoming many guests to his home, this owner wanted to mark the spirit of his guests by offering them a living space embellished with a few surprises. With its unique shape and its corten steel covering, the frame has an abstract character, similar to a submarine or a house straight out of a structure. steampunk.

On a surface of 150 square meters, the project of Atelier Vens Vanbelle is articulated around a spiral staircase serving three levels:: a ground floor housing the bedroom and the living room topped by a belvedere decorated with 'an outdoor shower and a basement concealing a projection room. Each floor has its own atmosphere. The living space is designed as a wooden cave entirely made of laminated wood and pierced by two round windows, one overlooking the garden and the other on the main house. Built like a cinematographic experience, the guest house accommodates a small projection room with red curtains, enriched by a small intimate bar.

What escape a few moments from reality.
