Benoît Rotteleur Architecte : rénovation et extension d’une maison en meulière

In Saint-Leu-la-Forêt (95), the Benoît Rotteleur Architecte agency has renovated a house in Meulière dating from the beginning of the XNUMXth century. At the request of the owner Cécile, the architects responded with a subtle intervention.

The architects Benoit Rotteleur (born in 1987) and Julien Blatteau (born in 1995) have chosen to preserve the industrial spirit of the house while giving it a contemporary touch. With large bay windows, the new extension recalls the industrial aesthetic of the old glass roof, and opens the house onto the garden.

For this project, the architects played with volumes and materials to echo the existing house by focusing on sober coverings and fittings. Inside, exposed wood warms the immaculate rooms and the black window frames. The junctions between the spaces treated in ash, such as the patio bench and the glass roof of the kitchen, give character to the living spaces, while the brick walls of the facade are in line with the existing building.

The Benoît Rotteleur Architecte agency signs a contemporary extension as elegant as it is functional.
