In England, in an industrial wasteland of Suffolk, the Haworth Tompkins architectural firm realized what a studio on campus music. A rusty appearance steel construction, slipped into an existing ruin.
Located on the campus of Snape Malting, standing in the ruins of a Victorian building, the project Haworth Tompkins materializes a missing volume. Made of Cor-Ten steel and coated plywood inside, the studio was prefabricated before being slid into the ruins.
Note that this project was selected for AJ Small Projects Awards 2010.
