Created in 2014 by France Bittel and Olivier Chanard, the Bleu Gris interior architecture agency appeals to professionals and individuals with its creative interiors. Zoom on a shock duo.

After studying space design and civil engineering, France Bittel worked in several architectural agencies before launching his own company, Atelier Bittel France, in 2008. Olivier Chanard followed business studies, then ran a brokerage firm. In 2014, very soon after their meeting in the south of France, France Bittel and Olivier Chanard decided to take advantage of their complementarity and founded the interior design agency Bleu Gris.

From residential sites to commercial projects, the duo always thinks of the interiors as a whole and responds with custom-made decorations to their customers. France Bittel is in charge of the design of the interiors, when Oliver Chanard takes care of the follow-up of the projects. The agency delivers sites in the south of France, mainly in Nice.

Among Blue Gray's most emblematic projects are the Da Giulia and Z restaurants, and the One Love Labo hair salon. For the Italian trattoria Da Giulia, the duo multiplies the references to Italy and its riviera by associating organic and mineral materials - the green ceiling, the terrazzo floor - with timeless objects - hand-woven baskets, crockery in ceramic, the Slab oak chairs by Tom Dixon. Like the Da Giulia, the Z restaurant is a trip to the Mediterranean. The tandem here combines traditional architectural elements reinterpreted in a contemporary style with vintage objects arranged in irregular niches. The interior of the One Love Labo hair salon, for its part, brings together kitsch from the sixties and the codes of industrial architecture. From brushed stainless steel furniture to powder pink and neo mint hues, nothing is left to chance.

If it is illustrated today by its commercial projects, the duo Bittel-Chanard also took up the challenge of opening a decoration shop. For its very first address in Nice, Bleu Gris is selling pieces of furniture and design objects selected with passion.
