It is in Cercal in the Center region of Portugal that the architecture agency Atelier Data reinterpreted the traditional Portuguese house by erecting a solar villa which fits perfectly into the surrounding hilly landscape.

Casa no cercal is a 195 square meter house open to nature. Fascinated by the reliefs of the region, the architects of Atelier Data chose to enhance the relationship of the villa with the surrounding natural elements, notably the hills and the river.

The architects have thus lowered the boundaries between interior and exterior with windows and sliding glass doors that let in natural light and offer beautiful views of the landscape. In the same logic, they also arranged several patios, small more confidential outdoor spaces, which circulate the light in the house, and creates a large living room which opens on the same level on a large terrace extended by a corridor of swim.

Inside, white reigns supreme. Everywhere mismatched furniture, natural materials, colored ceramics distill a summery spirit.

A true ode to nature!
