On the occasion of Paris Design Week 2020, Éditions CarréSol invites French designer and interior architect Pierre Gonalons to share his vision of the Art of Burnt Wood. See you on Thursday, September 10.

Reserved for the specialized press, architects and designers, the event “The Art of Burnt Wood, Regards Croisés” - a conference and a workshop, followed by a cocktail - will be held at 29 rue du Louvre in the second arrondissement , Thursday September 10 at 18 p.m.

As part of this unprecedented meeting, Éditions CarréSol will present their collection of floors and wall panels "Les Bois Brûlés", Pierre Gonalons will share his perspective on the ancestral technique of Shou Sugi Ban and his contribution to creation and design, then their artisans burners will offer a demonstration of the wood burning technique and will lead a workshop in which guests can take part.

Drawing inspiration from the values ​​of Wabi-Sabi, Éditions CarréSol have designed a collection of parquet floors and wall panels with their craftsmen who burn wood in their workshop. The “Les Bois Brûlés” collection stands out for its unique patina as well as its infinite variations of reflections and finishes conferred by burning. Throughout Paris Design Week 2020, Éditions CarréSol will be happy to present this collection to the general public as well as their wood burning line, which will be exceptionally moved to their flagship on rue du Louvre on this occasion.
