It's official: the architecture firm “Encore Joyeux” has been selected for the architectural design of the Ateliers Médicis. This 5000 m² building will offer spaces conducive to encounters and artistic creation and should be built by 2025.

To offer a responsible architectural design for the building: this is the objective set by the firm Encore Joyeux, in full coherence with the project defended with the inhabitants and the partners since 2018. On March 15, a jury made up of fifteen members met to choose the architectural project that best met the expectations of the competition launched to design the future building of the Ateliers Médicis. Among the four agencies in the running, it is therefore the firm Encore Joyeux who managed to do well, by promising a sustainable design of the future workshop.

From the first glance from the street, a large, lively and warm hall takes shape, marked by the future Medici gardens, open to all, in the continuity of the forecourt of the metro station. On the floors, workspaces where everyone can learn, train and create. A delicately functional place, organized around circulations designed for the multiplicity of uses. A terrace perched twelve meters high and accessible to all audiences will extend these activities and the promising dialogues that will take place there in the open air.

The development of the project will also be carried out in constant dialogue between this place and its future users, between 2022 and 2025, when this new building will see the light of day opposite the future Grand Paris Express station.
