After almost three years of work, this new campus with an area of approximately 100 m² has opened its doors in Essen, Germany. The new administrative building of ALDI Einkauf SE & Co. oHG will accommodate up to 000 people. An operation signed by BAID Architekten.
Ultramodern and agile: these are the two terms that characterize the ALDI North Campus, a symbol of the brand's transformation process.
Covering an area equivalent to 14 football pitches, the new building provides an ideal working environment for cooperation and communication in new ways of working.
The new headquarters of ALDI Einkauf in Essen represents an important step for the future of the group. Adaptability is key in retail, especially in an increasingly globalized and digital world. Thus, the new work and communication structures allow a fast and open exchange between departments and employees.
The building is mainly composed of open space offices, co-working spaces and communication hubs catering to a wide range of requirements. Of the 1 permanent workstations in the main building, less than 200 individual offices. A central café and the staff restaurant create a direct link to the extensive landscaped grounds with water ponds, a herb garden and even a jogging track! All designed by WES Landschaftsarchitekten.
The office complex is completed by two multi-storey car parks with a large solar installation on the roof. A nursery, a concierge and a sports area complete the package.
A new workspace that marks the renewal of the Aldi group.
