The Belgian photographer Jan Kempenaers conducted in the former Yugoslavia a series of photographs of monuments, relics of the communist era. In the landscape, sculpture abandoned the volumetrics amazing.


As part of its "Spomenik: The End of History", Jan Kempenaers photographed in the former Yugoslavia many monuments erected in memory of the battles of World War II by the former communist regime.


These constructions surprise by their spectacular and futuristic, plasticity and amazing landscape integration.
