Ballonnements au château

Last night was the Palace of Versailles the official opening of the controversial exhibition by American artist Jeff Koons. Indoor and outdoor 17 works are presented, including his famous sculptures looking like balloons. At the risk of upsetting the conventions, contemporary art tu architecture. Selected pieces in pictures.

In the royal apartments and gardens of Versailles, until 14 next December, contemporary art flirts with art and architecture grand century. A giant inflatable dog faces Veronese, a lobster-shaped buoy hanging in the Salon de Mars, a moon of 3 meters in diameter throne in the Hall of Mirrors. The works aspire to dialogue with the rooms that host them, their themes, their decorations, paintings, sculptures, ceilings and furniture.
