Espace et lumière

In his light installation "Chromointerference Mechanics", the Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez dissolves space and architecture in the light. And the visitor loses its bearings.

Venezuelan artist based in Paris, Carlos Cruz-Diez belongs aware of kinetic and optical art. He devotes part of his work to exploring the relationship between art and architecture. Among his works, many of them are distinguished by a close integration in their built environment.

"Chromointerference Mechanics" destabilizes the viewer by disrupting the reading of space and architecture. Bathed in colored light, architecture appears to him in a new light. His perception is changing. Space surprises, its edges, contours seem to vanish and reality dissolves into the light.
