Plessis et Dussonchet : Goldfish

Architects and Claire Julien Plessis Dussonchet achieved a subtle project on the occasion of the tenth edition of the Festival vivid architectures 2015 held in Montpellier. The project called "Goldfish" evokes a veritable stage set in which stands a golden pond, an invitation to dream and meditation.

Goldfish participated in FAV festival which annually recognizes teams of architects came expose ephemeral works in mansions of the city center of Montpellier. Thus, the plant provides an abstract and unique vision that is reminiscent of the image of zen gardens, in agreement with the court in which it is located. It consists of a golden pond where carp figures are, pond appears to be suspended above a black ground.

This type of installation allows to highlight the volume of the court but also to contrast materials, here the black soil surface to the surrounding stone walls. The same phenomenon is found in forms that seem to answer: the fluidity of the pond contrast with highly structured geometry of the buildings around, along the moving surface of the pond with the permanence of the mansion. A play of reflections completes this set, carrying the viewer.

Godlfish received the audience award at the festival held at the 10 14 June
