Johann Le Guillerm : La Transumante

As part of the Paris L'Eté Festival, and in partnership with the Museum of Modern Art and the Palais de Tokyo, Johann Le Guillerm, artist from the circus (balancing artist, inventor and manipulator of objects) has revived during 6 hours to a wood creature, The Transumante, installed for the occasion in the courtyard of the Palais Galliera, the time of a summer evening: Monday 16 July 2018.

Designed during the Nuit Blanche of Paris in 2014, La Transumante is part of the vast project Attraction, which was born in 2009 at Cirque d'Amiens with Monstration, an exhibition-course-installation presenting a series of fancy machines. Defying the gravity, the work mute over the hours, helped by ten manipulators, handling by pressing the 160 3 wooden squares of meters that compose it. Without nails or screws, both solid and fragile, the structure - up to four meters high and covering a surface of 200 square meters - impresses with its self-supporting, simple and efficient system, and questions the relationship of a structure evolving at his site through human relations within a group. In the manner of an orchestra, everyone naturally finds his score to carry out this symphony led by Johann Le Guillerm.

The performance will be replayed as part of the Festival Coup de Chauffe, The Avant-Scène at Cognac (16) the 1 September 2018, as well as at the Louvre Museum of Abu Dhabi, the 14 and 15 December 2018.
