This American artist patiently cutting city maps, leaving only the network of streets and public spaces. Urban laces that offer us a different look at Paris and New York.

Artist from Charlotte in North Carolina, Karen O'Leary cuts the paper, keeps only the networks and the wefts, revealing the paths, the nodes, the streets, the boulevards and the parks, highlighting their weaving. For New York, it represents the districts of Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx in 4 panels of white paper, finely cut and perforated. For Paris, she works from a simple map of the city sold commercially.
