Based in Athens (Greece), the designer Savvas Laz is quickly struck by the accumulation of waste from his hometown, including the lack of proper recycling facility. A shock to which the designer responds with the Trashformers series, a collection of furniture designed from recycled materials found on the street. An ethical and aesthetic series.

As part of the new season of the Swedish Design Moves Paris, the Swedish Institute (3ème arrondissement) presents for the first time to the general public the recent rehabilitation of the apartments of his residence. Directly inspired by the volcanic landscapes of Mount St. Helens (USA), the Californian studio LGS imagine a series of decorative objects retrading the imperfections winding paths and hot stone stratovolcano Washington State.
