Envisioned by the designer Alistair Bramley, Dimension Flooring is a flooring project whose pattern is designed according to the movements of the user and his way to occupy the domestic space. Between abstraction and customization.
With Dimension Flooring, Alistair Bramley proposes a laminate floor with contextualized and individulalisés reasons. With video capture, the designer observes the users' movements in their interior space and transcribes them into a pattern of abstract lines. Once digitally printed, these contours describe the borrowed passages, trails define the areas used or abandoned.
In this project, the designer stands back, develops a process, not a product and lets the user compose for him on a free partition. The design is not standard, adapts to the user, its context, its peculiarities.
