Des carreaux pas comme les autres

Throughout the project, the Swedish designer Per Bäckstorm we offer original rereading classics wall tiles. Discover "Confetti" and "Imse" two of his last projects.

"Confetti" is a modular wall shelf system. Each of the modules consists of a support panel, fifty tiles of colored synthetic material (green, brown, beige and red) of 8 centimeters on the side and 6 plexiglass shelves of 22,5 or 43 centimeters in length.

By assembling several modules, this system allows for multiple wall combinations and complete walls. Once the composition is created, it remains for the user to slide the thin shelves between the tiles, at the places of their choice, in the interstices usually assigned to grouting, to create a shelf adapted to his needs.

With "Imse" the designer continues to reflect on the wall tiles. Imse is a small mirror system of 15 cm square for attachment to existing wall tiles of equal size.

In slight over-thickness, they will find their place in a bathroom or kitchen. Delivered in four, they can be positioned randomly or combined to create a larger mirror.
