Cecilie Manz : Minuscule

The Danish designer Cecilie Manz has designed the collection of chair and table "Tiny" in Republic of Fritz Hansen. This minimalist collection, subtle and elegant, typically Scandinavian, was unveiled at the last Salon del Mobile in Milan.

Combining craft tradition and industrial production, the seat consists of a shell and a plastic base. Her hull is dressed inside and outside hand-sewn fabric for sewing leather details. The table uses the same type of frame that gray plastic chair, crowned with a white pine or plywood board.

Suitable for use in a lounge, a relaxation area and private accommodation, the series "Tiny" will be available from September 2012.

On his work, Cecilie Manz explains:

"For me, the design always starts with the material. I need to feel all materials before knowing if I can work with"
