Masha Reva : Céramiques

Ukrainian artist Masha Reva unveils a series of objects as beautiful as made-up paintings ceramic for the brand Nadiia. A light collection, borrowing the pictorial aesthetics sketches Henri Matisse or Pablo Picasso.

With a stroke of one, the Ukrainian artist Masha Reva enchants everything she touches. The visual artist, particularly known for her collaboration with the creator Simon Porte Jacquemus on the occasion of his book "Marseille je t'aime", briefly comes out of the world of fashion and photography for that of ceramics by presenting a set of plates and vases at the last edition of Milan Design Week.

Crafted by potters from her homeland, each piece designed by the young woman comes alive with a few touches of paint. The plates are adorned with still lifes or faces smiling almost naïve style while rounded jars borrows their organic shapes with female silhouettes.

The size of the dishes - more or less large depending on the model - as well as their aesthetic reminiscent of the poetic universe of the ceramics of Picasso and Cocteau, make it just as much table service items as decorative objects. Clever slits cut on the edges of some plates and large handles handles stylized pitchers allow a good grip of these creations so delicate.
