The fourth edition of the National Architecture Days took place from 18 to 20 October. This national event organized by the Ministry of Culture aims to promote architecture while raising awareness of all its cultural, economic and social issues, through various activities. Back on a whole program that gave pride of place to our architectural heritage!
"The architect is the 21e century more than ever a provider of solutions serving the great challenges of our country: the wealth of our territories and the ecological transition. " Minister Franck Riester said in his speech at the launch of this latest edition of the National Days of Architecture. And for good reason ! At the time of ecological transition, urban development and technical innovation, architecture is at the heart of current issues.
Each year, the architecture is therefore honored throughout the Hexagon for three days. More than 1200 events are indeed organized to transmit the richness of the French architectural heritage and the importance of the architect's profession. Workshops, urban walks, conferences, debates, exhibitions, open houses, meetings and visits are an opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of iconic, unknown or contemporary achievements.
For their fourth edition, National Architecture Days have focused on learning architectural knowledge through the eyes. Operation "Lift your eyes! "Launched by the Ministries of Culture, National Education and Youth invited the public school to discover the diversity of the French built landscape all day Friday. A new initiative that is part of a desire to educate young people, from an early age, to observe the surrounding architecture.
A real success for the JNA!
