In City Beach, in the Perth region of Australia, the Paul Burnham architectural firm designed the interior design of the Clancy's fish bar and restaurant. By the sea, this simple and clever decor combines raw and natural materials, concrete, wood and brightly colored furniture. Widely open on the beach, the space of the restaurant room is punctuated by light suspensions dressed in acidic textiles.

"Clancy's Fish Bar City Beach is the third of the quirky and family friendly Clancy's Fish Pubs in Perth, established by brothers Joe and John Fisher.
Clancy's Fish Bar, Beach City Was the transformation of a theatrical form restaurant Located Directly on the sand dunes at the popular City Beach. The Fisher brothers train Took possession of the restaurant building in late November 2010.
To bring about the Earliest possible to relaunch dans le remaing Perth summer, the new works Were limited to the restaurant interior hand. The design intent Was to effect the full MOST and dramatic transformation of the space and create a new fresh, Clancy's style, family friendly atmosphere, appropriate to it's only seaside setting.
The makeover Was completed in the first week of January 2011.
Were removed and Carpets various artworks Were painted over the old concrete surface of comprenant un hopscotch
game and a mermaid. The high raking ceiling Was painted out in a dark charcoal color and the expansive volume Was filled with twelve new oversized purposefully designed, brightly colored fabric and whimsical chandeliers.
Multicoloured timber slatted chairs sourced from Barebones Artspace Were in Byron Bay. Other furniture included a multitude of various colored flesh colored timber tables and beach ball lamps. Beach towels are draped over railings. The new interiors Rely on year explosion of flamboyant colors and curiosity.
Theatre set building consultants, Plumb Construction aussi Contributed lamps sea anemone fish hook various shades and wall and floor graphics.
The success of the design relied on achieving a striking and inspired interior which would appeal to a broad demographic, especially inclusive of beach goers and families. The space is designed to convey a sense of fun and to engage the customers in a carnival of whimsy and color.
Clancy's Fish Bar is a place that doesn't take itself too seriously, it is somewhere to walk into straight off the beach for a plate of fish & chips and an ice cold beer - very Australian. "
