Yusuke Seki : Maruhiro

In the Nagasaki area, the Japanese architect Yusuke Seki realized the renovation of the historic store Maruhiro manufacturer, specializing in ceramic and porcelain. Central to the new scenography throne a platform composed of flooded concrete porcelain pieces.

The architect has staged an architectural tribute to the history and expertise of the factory. He did marry drawing objects porcelain architecture. A successful marriage that uses porcelain objects, filled with concrete, the same as a brick or another architectural element. The platform consists of almost 25 000 parts. wooden boxes complete the staging. They are not fixed to the ground thus ensuring modularity of the place.
